A bit about me

My name is Anita Bates and I became a Certified Infant Massage Instructor a few years ago, after completing my training with the International Association of Infant Massage.

Just after my training I became pregnant and had my own baby, a little girl who is now over 20 months old. So, it was a fantastic opportunity for me to practice my newly learned skills, especially as she was 7 weeks premature and spent the first 4 weeks of her life in Gloucester Hospital's Special Care Baby Unit.

As soon as she was home I was able to incorporate massage into her bedtime routine. She thoroughly enjoyed the attention and we were able to create a strong loving bond, which was difficult to achieve whilst she was in the hospital. I believe she greatly benefited from the massage and thrived, despite her early arrival. She was generally a very calm, content baby and is now a very loving and happy toddler.

Having had first-hand experience of the fantastic benefits of baby massage, I now feel ready and equipped to share
this fantastic tool with other new parents.

Please contact me if you have any queries or questions about the course or baby massage in general.
