Baby massage

Baby Bits & Bobs runs courses for parents or carers wishing to learn how to massage their baby.

Baby massage has recently been growing in popularity in the UK, although it has been practiced for hundreds of years in other parts of the world.

The International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) was established in 1986 by Vimala McClure, who witnessed infant massage first hand whilst working in Northern India. Today the IAIM is a well respected organisation, with over 2,500 members in the UK alone.

About the course

On the course you will learn how to massage your baby using the programme developed and refined, over many years, by the IAIM. Courses are run in groups of up to 8 adults and babies and are a great way of meeting other new parents in the local area.

The classes are very relaxed and friendly and you are encouraged to concentrate entirely on your baby's needs. It's fine if they start to cry or need to feed - the classes are baby-led and it's all part of the experience!

How about a private course?

If you can gather a group of mums together we can arrange a private course at a time and location that's convenient to you all. A great activity for post-natal groups who still like to meet up regularly.
